This Idaho map is another sheet from Cram's Unrivaled Family Atlas of the World, the first "mass production" world atlas George Franklin Cram issued, copyrighted 1883 and published in Chicago by A.C. Shewey and Co. It's a first-edition atlas of sixty-five maps, printed at a moment when detailed, affordably priced geography was becoming a fixture of American parlors and offices rather than a luxury reserved for scholars.

Idaho is rendered here in full color with outline detailing at a scale of about 1:2,240,000, relief suggested through hachures, and both Greenwich and Washington marked as prime meridians.
