The atlas was a genuinely large undertaking, running to 864 pages with color maps, indexes, gazetteers, statistical and astronomical charts and hundreds of half-tone scenery views, bound in red cloth with gold-stamped title and borders. Cram's Toronto map, appearing on page 346 of the revised edition, reflects the firm's standard approach to major foreign cities within an atlas primarily organized around American geography and current census data.
